Interior Designer - Henry Prideaux Interior Design

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have 2-3-years’ experience working at a multi-disciplinary creative practise and have run their own projects providing both ID & IA to produce concept presentations, CAD drawings, joinery packs & elevations, and finishes schemes. A strong Design Assistant looking to progress, or recent graduate from KLC or Inchbald keen to start a new career in design with the potential to upskill and learn on the job, will also be considered. You will be passionate about interiors with an eye for detail and able to design to suit a broad range of project briefs across a variety of ongoing and new projects. You will have exceptional organisational, time management, and communication skills, and be confident working with design software and MS Office programs such as: InDesign, SketchUp, Photoshop, AutoCAD, PowerPoint and Excel – to support all stages of the design process alongside the Creative Director. You will have spent time onsite at all stages of a project and must be able to problem-solve and liaise with clients, contractors, tradesmen and suppliers with confidence, knowledge and expertise. You will have existing relationships with a variety of suppliers and be able to oversee procurement/manufacture/delivery and installation on multiple projects. 

Summary Of Employment:

Job Title: – Interior Designer

Key Skills:

– Creative & administrative support to the Creative Director

– Digital client presentations and visuals using a range of design software programs

– To attend supplier visits and increase personal supplier network

– Request and return samples and ensure that the studio sample library is kept tidy and up to date

– Product sourcing for residential and/or commercial projects

– Finishes boards for client presentations

– Produce and maintain project programmes and estimates

– Place orders & track production and delivery status

– Carry out site visits alongside the Creative Director (or independently as necessary)

– To maintain a tidy workspace and studio

– To attend CPDs, trade fairs & industry events (when appropriate)

– Produce digital presentations for design competition & awards entries

– To assist in the design and manufacture of product range for a planned retail collection

Salary: – £TBC (dependent on experience)

Working Hours: – 40 hrs per week

Holiday Entitlement: – 23 days per annum + all Public Holidays
